After the development of our prototype, we came to the most interesting part which is trying the product in a reality scenario. So, we used a corridor with a distance of 20 meters long and 2 meters wide. We've set 6 obstacles coated by sponge to prevent any possible damage and tried to define the collision rate of the blind people with the obstacles while using the iWalker device. Although 100% of the experimenters have appealed to the success which the device could probably have on the future, in only 40% of cases was no collision with a single object. So, we decided to focus now on improving the accuracy of our sensors to reduce the rate of 40 to 0%!
